Black clouds of an ancient
dawning.
Orpheus holds his lyre and dances
in
circles on the pond's green layer
of unequivocal algae.
A duck swims in dips
head under
and quacks. The god and his lyre
float like a branch,
living in midst
of the pond's muddle.
Black night becomes
a blue dawn.
This time there's no breakthrough.
No frog.
Not even a splash.
